Zero complaints, Solid product!
Strut replacement was moderately difficult:
1. Standard screwdriver to wedge open the tension band on the upper strut and pop it off using leverage with a wrench handle between the frunk door and upper strut.
2. No need to separate the lower strut, just unbolt the entire lower mount.
3. Install new lower strut bracket.
4. Install lower end of electric struts, wire side down. This requires lots of grunting and pinched forearms. It is tight and very little room to get leverage. I had a standard screwdriver holding the tensioning band partially open to help.
5. Upper strut I used the standard screwdriver in the tensioning band and the handle of a crescent wrench leveraged between the strut and fender (use a rag or cardboard to protect that fender).
The latch has horizontal and vertical adjustment/play:
DO mark the latch edges with tape for correct placement on reinstall.
DO adjust the height of the electric latch mechanism; if it’s locking prematurely like mine was, it needs to be lowered relative to the OEM latch.

Game changer! Be aware that late 2022 Model Y has a double length filter therefore you will need to find different place to install the control module. Best upgrade I made and I am finally using the frunk

Took almost exactly 4 hours to install. Video doesn’t quite match the Y or the kit I received, but close enough to make it easy enough. If I was to do it again, it would take less time since figuring out each step and how to access certain places that are really tight under the frunk are the most time intensive. Once it was all connected, it works great and makes the frunk much more useable.
If anyone wants me to install one for them in the Scottsdale/Phoenix area, I could do it for a reasonable fee and less than the $400 shops around here charge.

Install was very straightforward using their install video. This piece is definitely a game changer! I use the frunk now more than I use the trunk. On a scale of 1-5 the install difficulty is about a 4 due to the struts being a pain in the rear to remove, but if you have small hands and forearms then it shouldn’t be too bad. Great product with great support as well via Telegram.

The frunk/froot opener was one of the first accessories i ordered as my delivery date approached, i’m very happy i did, it makes the frunk so much more useable, it works from any tesla app that has a frunk open function (pressing open also closes it)
There are lots of videos on the installation process, and making adjustments for the ‘23 model was easy.
This is a must have item.

I placed a combined order of 4 EVOffer products together – the Electric Frunk kit, the Soft Closing doors kit, the Self-Present door handles and Swivel infotainment console mount. The order arrived surprisingly fast. Honestly I didn’t expect less than a week delivery from Hong Kong, especially right before Christmas, but all 4 parts have arrived in 2 separate shipments.
The only thing I wish would be available – is the ability to login and check the order status on EVOffer web site, but as soon as order was shipped, I’ve got an email with the tracking numbers.
The packaging is great. Very secure and looks nearly as good as iPhone or iPad, although not as excessively and ridiculously perfected, which is good actually. I feel like a quarter of iPad’s price is spent on that package.
Anyway, all products look good, sturdy and as I wrote, well packaged. I will update on installation process and functionality as soon as I install all of the 4 parts. Stay tuned!

An electric frunk is a must-have in my opinion. I went with EVOffer Electric Frunk Mark 4 vs Hansshow’s Electric Frunk, mainly because Hansshow’s product always have some type of mechanical issues. The only downside is instructions only shows with the older Model Y acid batter, instead of the new lithium battery. It had some hiccups during the installation, but otherwise it should only take about 2-3 hours to install. I would like recommend going with this instead of Hansshow’s electric frunk; my brother had it and it has a lot of problems!

I love this Frunk kit! It worked perfectly once installed, and I didn’t need to adjust anything. I’m only taking ONE star off because of the directions. The video and the printed instructions are for earlier models – not my 2022. Wish they had available a later series video and the video is much more helpful than the printed instructions. Also, anyone with arms and hands larger than a child is going to have a rough time. The back of both my hands are shredded today – looks like I’ve been a fight with two cats. The hardest part for me was attaching the new struts to the bottom bracket. Man, there’s just no room down there. Too bad they didn’t come up with a design similar to the factory struts that use a nut. But in the end it was all worth it! I’ll be using this all the time.

Just installed it, 5/5 stars. Got the mark 5.2 version on sale right before they came out with mark 6x. The only difference is making it easier to flash new updates and configs so i’m not too salty about it. Anyways the frunk works great. I needed help installing it and it definitely was a 2 man job.

Mark 6 installed on a 2023 Model Y LR
I have to say that the technical support provided by EVoffer was outstanding. I had a few questions which were promptly answered on Saturday night and Sunday morning. Thanks very much!!
There are a few changes to the install process for the mark 6 compared to the Mark 4/5 Video.
Firstly there is no separate signal wire. There is a single wire harness now, with all the connectors.
Secondly, start with the driver side (left side) strut installation before you do anything as this is the hardest part of the install. If you can’t do this part at least you haven’t invested too much time as your car is not drivable until the full install is complete. I dropped an aluminum, non magnetic bolt into the depth of the car. Only my daughters slender arms were able to reach it!
I would suggest you purchase an grabber tool and an automotive hook and pick set which makes it much easier to undo the existing strut clips. Another essential tool is a miniature right angled ratchet to fasten the hex bolt of the new strut bracket to the car frame. Also, do the bottom strut connection first as you have better visibility for the top connection.
I would suggest that the kit should contain a few extra frunk retaining clips. When I removed my frunk assembly for the first time a few of these detached and are somewhere in the floor of the tesla. If you gently pull up around the perimeter of the frunk and detach the clips before lifting it out, you should avoid this.
The lack of instructions may give some pause so I have attached this wire connection guide for the mark 6:
D8–Y pass thru connector to the existing Tesla latch assembly
D7 — Connects to the EVoffer latch assembly
D6–Y pass thru connector to the existing Tesla latch motor
D5–To the EVoffer latch motor
D4, D3 –To either strut motor, no order
D2 — To speaker
+’ve Red to Positive battery pole
GND- ground to metal chassis
Large connector to the MCU brain

Install was simple. Realistic 2 hours install, and 2 hours for making the cabling neat.
App stopped working for closing, but I can confirm that the latest app works for closing the Frunk in all menus and widget.

I loved it. 2 years. Bit something has happened and it does t work anymore. I emailed their customer service twice but they have not replied. It was great but something’s wrong now and it seems they don’t care.
